Do you have to remove jewelry during radioactive iodine?

I did, but you don't have to. Rings are fine, soap and water would literally wash away the radioactive iodine. I forgot and left my earrings in this year, but there was no adverse reaction. I would thoroughly was all jewelry after radioactive iodine, especially if someone else wears it.
