What do conservatives think teachers should earn?

Their wages are different according to the state they live in. It often has to do with the degree of education achieved. In conservative states, they earn less because basically the cost of living is less. Teachers and other public sector workers historically were paid very low wages. The unions had their place in time but now expecting tax payers to pay most or all of their health insurance and all of their pensions is way over board. Teachers get a fair wage. They work less than 40 weeks per year. Most people in the private sector pay 20% of the employer provided health insurance and contribute to their pension if one is offered. Otherwise, there is no pension, just 401k with or without matching by the employer.
