Is this election choice going to be based more on party allegiance and personalities versus the real issues?
In the end it is going to be about issues. For example, next Friday is the first debate between McCain and Obama. McCain has consistently avoided talking about the issues. He would rather debate lipstick on a pig than the economy or the war or education or any other issue. Obama has strongly focused on the issues. The only time you see a negative attack from Obama is when he is defending himself from a negative attack from McCain. When these two debate next week we will learn how focused each of them are on the issues addressed at this particular debate. Voters are more concerned about the issues. Votes will be won and lost over the course of the next several weeks when these two debate. The same can be said about the Palin/Biden debate. But in the end issues truly do matter to Americans, not party allegiance or personalities. After all, party allegiance and/or personality is not going to solve the problems America is up against.
