Can u get suspended for having a chat that talked bout other ppl's crushes and whatnot?

so i was on this chat one day with a few ppl. we said things bout ppl's crushes and whatnot. wellll a girl who was afk got really offended and sent it to teh teachers. what i said was like "doesn't (blank) like (blank)? and tat happened a couple times. and i copied and pasted something from someone elses' chat and said how mean it was but our homeroom teach thought i actually wrote it. and well the teach told the vice principal and is it possible for me to get supsended and if not what would be the consquences??????? i'm in middle shcool btw if this has a factor in it.
