Symbolic Tattoo for my friend and I.?

My friend and I have been looking into getting matching tattoos for a while. He's a family friend that I've know for about 13 years and we have a relationship that's a lot deeper then just hey, you're my best friend. We want to get something that symbolizes how much we care about each other and not just in a romantic way. Any ideas?
